Unannounced sci-fi movie? Hey, that sounds cool already! Can you please tell me more about this upcoming movie (Just curious), or does the studio you work at not allow you to give away that information?
By the way, cool turret you have here. Realistic, cool-looking, and most of all very well-drawn.
I picture some kind of adjustable foot pads on the bottom of your legs. Look at the bottom of an extension ladder, they have feet that adjust to different angles as well as a part that can dig into soft ground for stability. Maybe add something similar that looks more military. Just my two cents.
It looks really amazing, but I do have some criticisms. Note that these are all just opinionated and obviously biased - I cannot draw anywhere near this well which is why my gallery lacks any drawings:
Understanding that this is a Sci-Fi concept, there can be a lack of realism to it in that certain properties applicable to the real world are not applicable to this turret, however, the legs to somewhat bother me. Mostly the tip-ends of them. I feel they are too dainty for a gun to be mounted on top. The gun itself is small but the legs aren't, this may mean that the turret won't topple easily but that also depends on the calibre that the rifle shoots - if bullets at all.
I agree completely with McJaews that the tripod should probably be smaller though I don't necessarily think it requires more legs. If you were to add any more, I would suggest just one more leg to make it four.
But alas, this is a concept and does not scream a final product. Just some criticisms or ideas for any future designs you may come up with. All-in-all, I really like it and it has drawn me to take a closer look at your gallery. Keep it up!
Anytime. Love watching your youtube time lapses'. Always a treat to see how different artists in the games/movie industry work with initial sketches and blue sky ideation. Fantastic work as always. Hope to be working at a studio like Machine or Starbreeze someday soon
