So, I finally got a chance to play/own this game after it was banned here.
And I must say, this game is amazing. As an artist, the level design is just pure awesome. Got shot to shit numerous times because I was checking out the view. The artstyle blows my mind, but I feel the setting, fucking beautiful as it is, was very under used, and the game itself, was kinda short.
There is a lot of potential in this game's universe. I really hope they make a sequel.
Do you live in germany? Well in germany it got banned because to much violence. But i got so easy an origin key from austria. And the game is a piece of great art. Soundtrack, atmosphere and story are perfectly fitting together.
Don't know 'bout you, but games played a great part in my life. So your job for me is like that of classic adventure books writers and best movies creators -- stays as a great memeory for years to come.
Saying that because many people talk about how temporary games are these days -- go on and off the market too quick. But they do stay for life with those who dove deep into the game universe.
I totally agree with SunSunich, it is true. Even as I get older, there's still a place in my heart for games, and I love them because behind a great game is a great story, and stories captivate me. Beautiful art makes it that much easier to convey their impact!
torvenius, I love the Syndicate franchise and the dystopian cyberpunk genre in general - you've captured it really well in the city scene here, mixing the small lights that communicate a spark of life and hope with the depressing squalor of the darker tones of the buildings. Question: How did you practice to get to this level? It'd take me probably around 10-15 man-hours to create something like this, any tips for reducing that? Great work!
