I've been curious, do you play video games, or look at footage of video games? I've cut them out of my diet since I became an illustration student, but at the same time I don't want to get out of touch with a market that I care about. When you design your weapons, vehicles and characters do you think about how they will be played in the game, or does that cause too much distraction?
Also, are you usually pleased with the final renderings from the 3D designers?

when doing guns for a game iteration is pretty heavy towards gameplay etc...

If that was in the game, it wouldn't be a Frag grenade
...it would be more like a Singularity grenade, one that creates
a black home & sucks up enemies nearby...then after its implosion,
it explodes...scattering enemies & debris everywhere.
